(WASHINGTON) - Victims of domestic and sexual violence will now have even more access to services and support they may need after Crisis Connection, a not-for-profit that serves Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Martin, Orange, Perry, Pike and Spencer counties, has opened a new facility in Washington.
Kris Lasher, victim services coordinator, says while the location, in Harvest Community Fellowship's building near the Washington Carnegie Public Library, is new, Crisis Connection has been providing services to those in need for a number of years.
The Washington location will offer regular business hours two days a week with multi-agency services with advocate available 24/7.
Patty Klem will be the victim advocate manning the Washington office on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. tentatively although her services are available at any time.
The Washington office will serve as a confidential space for advocates to meet with clients in need. Crisis Connection offers many direct client services including a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention and counseling, safety planning as well as links to valuable information on the website, crisisconnectinc.org
