(MORGANTOWN) - Three people have been arrested in the August 30 robbery of the Woodchuck IGA in Morgantown, including a woman who was an employee of the store at the time.
According to a Morgan County Sheriff's Department press release, officer arrested 45-year-old John Nocito of Indianapolis, 32-year-old Randall Slaten and 28-year-old Jaqueline Walters, both of Trafalgar
Slaten and Walters are being held in the Morgan County Jail on charges of aiding, inducing or causing armed robbery - a level 3 felony.
Nocito is charged with robbery, criminal confinement, kidnapping and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon - all level 3 felonies. He is being held in the Marion County Jail.
According to the press release, officers were called to the store at 6:14 a.m. on August 30 after a report of an armed robbery.
Witnesses told police that Nocito, followed Walters into the store when she arrived for work. Nocito, armed with a handgun, forced female employees through the store, demanding cash or he would shoot them. Nocito fled the store after being picked up in a get-a-way car.
It's believed Noctio pre-planned robbing the store with Walters and Slaten days before the robbery. Walters was an employee of the IGA at the time. She and her boyfriend, Slaten, are alleged to have helped organize and aid in the crime.
