(HAYSVILLE) - Three people were injured in a one-vehicle crash Sunday on State Road 56 near Haysville, west of County Road 325 East.
According to Dubois County Sheriff's Department, 27-year-old Lindsay Quinn of Dubois was driving a 2006 Ford Focus west on State Road 56 when she over-corrected around a curve.
Police says Quinn was on her cellphone and going too fast for the weather conditions which contributed to the accident.
Quinn lost control of the car causing it to slide off of the south side of the road. The car went airborne down an embankment and hit the ground in a cornfield. The car then rolled several times before coming to a stop on the passenger side.
Three people in the vehicle were taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Quinn suffered minor head pain. A passenger, Shannon Evans, complained of back and neck pain and an unnamed juvenile passenger also complained of minor back pain. All three were taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police say none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts, which contributed to their injuries.
