(BLOOMINGTON) - According to forecasters, those taking the plunge in Bloomington’s two New Year’s Day polar bear events will dive into water temperatures in the high 30s.
At Fairfax Beach, you can sign-up for the event beginning at 10:30 a.m., with swimmers plunging into the water at 11 a.m. Participation is free.
At Paynetown Beach, a polar bear plunge is scheduled at 11 a.m. The plunge is free, but donations will be accepted to support the Boys and Girls Club.
