(UNDATED) - Bloomington firefighter and business owner Jeff Ellington has thrown his name into the hat to run for the Indiana House District 62 seat.
The seat is being vacated by current Indiana House of Representative, Matt Ubelhor. There is one year left in his term.
Amy Lore of Linton announced her intentions to run for the seat Last week.
Ubelhor represented District 62 which encompasses most of Greene County (except for Wright Township), Daviess, Martin and Monroe counties.
Ubelhor's announcement comes just prior to the 2016 legislative session.
Ubelhor, a Republican, was elected for his third term in 2014 as the representative for District 62 and currently serves as the assistant majority whip.
According to the Greene County Daily World, Ubelhor resigned because he is working a considerable distance away from the district.
