(SALEM) - It’s time for the annual Bill Cope chili supper. Cope was a teacher at Eastern High School who dedicated a large portion of his life to students. He passed away in July 1997, after a long battle with cancer.
The event is set for Saturday, January 30, at the Eastern High School cafeteria prior to the Eastern vs. Salem basketball game. Doors open at 4:15 p.m. and serving continues until 7 p.m.
Chili, sandwich, dessert, and drink will be offered for $5.50. A la carte items will also be available.
Proceeds benefit the East Washington Dollars for Scholars scholarship campaign.
