(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 16th and O streets Thursday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 56-year-old Bradley Klumpp of Bedford was crossing the street at 16th and O streets and had just stepped off the curb when he was struck by a 2003 Saturn driven by 29-year-old Shonda Arnold of Bedford.
Police say Arnold had the green light at the time of the accident and Klumpp was wearing dark clothing and was difficult for the driver to see. He had also exited from the Circle K parking lot to enter the crosswalk because the sidewalks were snow covered.
Klumpp suffered leg and head injuries and was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital and then flown to IU Health Indianapolis.
Arnold was not injured.
