(BEDFORD) - A Bedford teen suffered minor injuries after her vehicle struck a utility pole Saturday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 17-year-old Shamen Bex suffered scratches to her elbow and lower arm.
Police say, Bex was traveling east on SandPit Road just before 7 a.m. when she topped the hill east of County Complex Road and lost control of her 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. The car crossed the westbound lane and struck the utility pole with the front of the car.
Before police arrived on the scene, Bex was taken to her father's home and he took her to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
