Boys & Girls Club Looking To Fill Positions

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Boys & Girls Club is looking to fill two positions.
According to Chief Professional Officer Jodi Martin, those positions are a new teen director and a resource development and marketing coordinator.

The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County (BGCLC) serves some 1400 youth a year with an average daily attendance for the school year of 275.
Teen Director
The position is full-time and you would report to the director of operations/director.
Primary function would be to direct and maintain the Teen Center and all programs and activities associated with the Teen Center including the Keystone Club.
Qualifications: Demonstrate knowledge of principles related to youth development, health and safety of youth, program development and implementation, teamwork, and public relations.
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Experience working with teens and developing and implementing teen programs and activities.

Resource Development and Marketing Coordinator
The Club is currently seeking a motivated and qualified candidate to lead the development efforts for a rapidly growing non-profit within the position of Resource Development and Marketing Coordinator. Reporting to the Chief Professional Officer (CPO), the Development & Marketing Coordinator advances and facilitates the Club's development strategy, community presence, and strategic partnering; oversees planning and implementation of major capital projects, grant funding, annual campaigns, special events, and supports internal and external marketing efforts.
Key Roles
- Plan, coordinate, manage, upgrade and strengthen the organization's Great Futures annual campaign with emphasis on developing a larger donor and volunteer base, increase volunteer confidence and development of a case for support.
- Support future giving by identifying, informing and cultivating potential new donors.
- Monitor & ensure donor retention through a comprehensive donor information system, and appreciation programs.
- Work in conjunction with CPO and program staff to identify, cultivate and apply for foundation and government grants.
- Cultivate area corporate relationships to stimulate both financial and in-kind support.
- Coordinate donor and volunteer recognition activities and events.
- Evaluate all aspects of the financial development program and introduce new fundraising techniques to elevate giving.
- Provide leadership to the planning, coordinating and managing future capital campaigns for major gifts and community efforts.
- Manage and expand donor identification prospecting and the preparation of software and database system to support needed information.
- Manage the donor communication and activities plan including but not limited to special events, socials, pre-campaign volunteers and community education programs.
- Provide for internal controls to ensure the integrity of donor relationships, timely donor acknowledgements, accountability of donor restricted gifts, etc.
- Develop and coordinate all marketing and fundraising materials and develop and implement a marketing and communications plan.
- Implement the Resource Development Plan & Stewardship Calendar.
Knowledge/Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, financial development, communication, public relations, human services or equivalent. Experience in non-profit fundraising preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
- Requires well-developed interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to project a positive image and communicate clearly, professionally and effectively through oral and written mediums with diverse groups of individuals.
- Requires strong project management, math, clerical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments from different sources while meeting deadlines.
- Must demonstrate initiative, strong leadership skills, and the ability to provide guidance to staff and volunteers with a variety of educational and experiential backgrounds.
- Requires the proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality concerning member/donor records and account information, and the ability to handle sensitive material concerning the organization.
- Experience in eTapestry or Blackbaud donor management software preferred.
