(MEDORA) - A 10-year-old Medora boy suffered a leg injury Sunday afternoon after he ran into the path of a vehicle.
According to a Jackson County Police report, police and first responders from Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the accident scene at 5:20 p.m. in the first block of East Scott Street in Medora.
According to police the boy was playing in the front yard of a home when for an unknown reason he ran into the path of a 2004 Jeep Wrangler driven by 65-year-old Cathy Stidham of Medora.
The front left tire of the Jeep rolled over the child, injuring his leg. Stidham told police she didn't see the boy until he was sliding in front of her vehicle.
The boy was taken by ambulance to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown where he was picked up by a medical helicopter and then flown to a Louisville hospital.
Police say Stidham was not injured but was shook up from the accident.
