(ORLEANS) - An Orleans man was arrested Friday after police stopped his vehicle and found marijuana.
According to an Orleans Police Department press release, officers arrested 18-year-old Andy Sherman Wells on charges of charges of with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
Wells was stopped after police received a call reporting Wells had juveniles in his vehicle and was providing them with marijuana.
Officers spotted Wells' vehicle at the intersection of Second and Monroe streets around 10 p.m.
When officers approached the vehicle they smelled the burnt odor of marijuana. Inside the vehicle officers found two other juveniles.
Wells gave police consent to search the vehicle and during that search officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
