(BEDFORD) - A Paoli woman was arrested after she allegedly slapped him in the face during a domestic fight in Mitchell on September 16.
Lawrence County police arrested 31-year-old Elizabeth Moon on warrants on Saturday charging her with battery and intimidation
According to a probable cause affidavit, Moon's former boyfriend called Mitchell Police reporting that Moon had slapped him.
The incident happened when the man was waiting for Moon to pick up their children. The man and the children were sitting in a vehicle waiting for Moon to arrive. When she got there, Moon got out of her vehicle and the two began to argue.
The male got back into his vehicle and was leaving for work when Moon allegedly pulled open his vehicle door and stood inside it preventing him closing the door. Moon then allegedly slapped him in the face and then doubled her fist and punched him.
While Moon was hitting the man something fell on the ground. It was a gun. Moon picked up the weapon and then stated, "I'll just use this."
The man told police he put his hands in the air and that another man who had accompanied Moon to the scene yelled at her to stop and leave.
A witness told police they saw Moon slap the man and threaten the man with the gun. When police spoke to Moon she too confirmed she had punched the man and that she did have a gun with her and had threatened the man, but had not actually pointed the gun at the man.
