(BLOOMINGTON) - Seven people were arrested on drug and weapon charges Saturday after Bloomington police investigated a noise complaint.
According to police, officers were called to the 100 block of East Southern Drive at 12:30 a.m. after a noise complaint. When police arrived they heard no noise, but knocked on the door when the smelled the odor of burnt marijuana.
Armed with a search warrant, officers found drug paraphernalia, marijuana, a small baggie of containing cocaine, another baggie containing prescription pills.
Officers also found two people with firearms without licenses to carry them. A third gun was found in the homeowner's safe disassembled. Officers later determined that weapon had been reported stolen.
Police arrested:
26-year-old Kayla Breaux of Bloomington on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.
30-year-old Donell Jackson of Greencastle on charges of visiting a common nuisance and possession of cocaine.
24-year-old Jerrel Lane of Detroit, Michigan on charges of possession or use of a legend drug or precursors, possession of a gun by a serious violent felon, visiting a common nuisance and a warrant for driving without a license.
31-year-old Erik Stewart of Bloomington on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Three other people were arrested on a host of charges, including possession of a handgun without a license, visiting a common nuisance, minor in possession or consumption of alcohol and possession of marijuana.
