State Fire Marshal Investigating Paoli Fire

(PAOLI) - The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire that destroyed a home December 31 at 500 W. Thornton St. in Paoli.

According to Paoli Police Department the home belonged to William and Kim Sprinkle. They own Guns, Knives & More LLC.

The fire was reported at 9:45 p.m. after the caller saw flames shooting from the roof of the home.

The Sprinkles were not home when the fire started.

Firefighters from Paoli, French Lick and Orange County Rural District II and Southeast Township Volunteer Fire Departments responded.

Police say the State Fire Marshal's Office was contacted at 10:18 p.m. and arrived at the scene at about 1 a.m. All units had left the scene by just before 4 a.m. Friday.

Police are not releasing any other information at this time, because the fire is under investigation.
