(SALEM) - The driver of a turkey truck had to be freed from the vehicle after it flipped at the intersection of State Road 56 and Ind. 60 Monday morning.
Rescue crews freed 51-year-old Charles Barekman of Bruceville but as they took him out of the vehicle through the windshield he suffered minor injuries.
Salem police say the truck, full of turkeys, was traveling west on Ind. 56 and overturned as Barekman took the turn onto Ind. 60 too fast. The semi ended up in the opposite lane and flipped when Barekman overcorrected the vehicle.
