(BEDFORD) - A man and woman were arrested Tuesday after they allegedly took a vacuum cleaner off the shelf at Walmart, walked around the store and then attempted to return it for a gift card.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, 25-year-old John Dotts of Bedford and 24-year-old Ashley Milligan of Mitchell were stopped by store security after they were spotted acting suspicious.
They were followed by the security team who spotted them taking the vacuum cleaner off the shelf and to the service desk where they attempted to return it for a gift card.
Security stopped the two and held them until police arrived.
Parsley says both were cited into court and served with no trespass orders preventing them from returning to the store.
