(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington woman was arrested Monday evening on various drug-related charges after she was found by a resident on Vinegar Hill Road slumped over the wheel of her vehicle.
At 2:20 p.m., police were called to the 2300 block of Vinegar Hill Road after a resident reported finding a woman slumped over the stirring wheel of the vehicle she was driving.
Police, a Seals ambulance crew and Shawswick and Guthrie Volunteer Fire Department first responders rushed to the scene.
There they found 39-year-old Tanya A. Sharpe. She was taken to a hospital to be checked for any medical issues, then arrested because she was impaired, according to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham.
Sharpe was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance and operating a vehicle while intoxicated by a controlled substance.
Earlier that morning, Sharpe called police alleging she had been sexually assaulted but failed to come to the Sheriff's Department to file a report.
