(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested on a charge of child molestation after Bedford Police went to a home in the 500 block of H Street Sunday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the home 2:29 p.m.
Police arrested 22-year-old Zachary George of Bedford. He remains in jail on a $20,003 cash or $200,000 surety bond.
Parsley says the caller told police that George was babysitting a 4-year-old boy. The caller says they caught George on the couch with the boy under a blanket.
"Mr. George had taken the boy's clothes off," Parsley added. "The father alleges Mr. George's pants were down and he was inappropriately touching his son. The father then stopped what was going on and called police."
Police questioned George and conducted an investigation with the child with the help of Susie's Place, a child advocacy center in Bloomington.
"The child later was taken to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis for evaluation to assist in the investigation," Parsley added.
