(BEDFORD) - Those who work with youth and families may often feel isolated or alone in their efforts to help those in their communities. Sometimes the load of the work that needs to be done can be difficult to carry.
That's why the Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) and Hoosier Uplands are hosting an event to connect those who work with these young people and families in South Central Indiana.
During this lunch networking session, attendees can connect with fellow service workers and community members who serve children and families. They will have the opportunity to learn more about other organizations in the area, share information about their own programs and discuss the needs facing their communities.
The session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23 at Stonegate Arts and Education Center, 405 I Street in Bedford. As part of IYI's Youth Worker Cafe program, lunch is free, but reservations are required. RSVP at www.iyi.org/YWC. If you have trouble with the link contact IYI Statewide Outreach Manager Debbie Jones via email at djones@iyi.org.
Youth Worker Cafes are designed to bring together local youth workers to build relationships and inspire collaborations that will benefit children. This Youth Worker Cafe is funded in part by the Old National Bank Foundation.
For more information, contact IYI Southeast Indiana Outreach Manager Sarah Broady at sbroady@iyi.org.
