(ORLEANS) - A Mitchell man was injured after his vehicle collided with a mailbox Monday morning on State Road 37 North.
According to a Orange County Sheriff's Department report, just after 10 a.m. 44-year-old Robin Drake was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 south on State Road 37 near Orleans, when the vehicle veered onto the right hand shoulder and struck a mailbox.
Drake then swerved hard to the left and left the road on the east side.
The vehicle then went into a ditch and struck an embankment and then overturned onto its roof.
Drake told police he was distracted and when he hit the mailbox, he swerved hard and lost control.
Drake suffered minor bleeding to his head.
Assisting at the scene was the Orleans Police Department.
