(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after a two-vehicle accident Saturday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, officers were called to the accident scene at the intersection of Sixth and R streets at 5:39 p.m.
According to police 21-year-old Brittany Turner, of 4670 Peerless Rd., was traveling west on Sixth Street and had stopped at the stop sign at Sixth and R streets. She then entered the intersection where her 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada was struck by a 1997 Ford F150 driven by 44-year-old Frank Batchelor, of 855 Church Camp Rd. Turner told police she didn't see the truck when she entered the intersection.
After impact Turner's car then struck a utility pole, causing minor damage to the pole.
Turner complained of pain to her left ankle and knee and chest pain. She was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment. Batchelor was not injured.
Batchelor was cited into court for driving while his driver's license was suspended with prior convictions.
