(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured in a three-vehicle accident at Mitchell and SandPit roads Thursday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, 23-year-old Jacob Brooking of Bedford was traveling north in the right lane of Mitchell Road and was approaching SandPit Road behind a semi-tractor trailer.
The semi slowed to make a right turn onto SandPit Road when 47-year-old John Fish of Bedford attempted to pass Brooking's 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier and the semi.
Brooking then attempted to pass the semi and changed into the left lane, striking Fish's 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt on the passenger side front corner.
Fisher's Cobalt stopped on the west side of Mitchell Road. Brooking's Cavalier stopped in the left lane of the road.
In the meantime, 22-year-old Logan Gore of Bedford, who was traveling north on Mitchell Road in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, did not see Brooking's car and struck it in the rear.
Gore's Jeep flipped several times and stopped on the east side of Mitchell Road against the rock wall.
Brooking complained of shoulder pain and suffered a cut on his left hand. He was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment
Fish and Gore were not injured during the incident.
Assisting at the scene was a Seals ambulance crew and the Bedford Fire Department.
