(BEDFORD) - An Orleans woman and a Bedford man were arrested Friday morning on a warrant charging her with dealing heroin.
Police arrested 26-year-old Kayla Hawk of Orleans and 29-year-old Brandon Hancock of Bedford just after 6 a.m.
Bedford Police Department Detective Justin Dodd arranged two controlled buys using a confidential informant in January to purchase heroin from Hawk, who was living with Hancock at the time.
The informant went to Hancock's home, twice. The informant purchased a total of 1.66 grams of powder heroin in the two combined buys. Hawk's child was also in the home.
Hawk is facing two counts of dealing in a narcotic drug, two counts of possession of a narcotic drug, two counts of neglect of a dependent and two counts of maintaining a common nuisance. Hancock is charged with dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug and maintaining a common nuisance.
