(BEDFORD) - A Paoli man suffered minor injuries in a crash at Mitchell Road and 28th Street Wednesday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, 44-year-old Robert Murphy suffered pain to his elbow and lower arm.
Police say Murphy was in the left lane on Mitchell Road and was approaching 28th Street when he saw another vehicle in the right lane beside him. The driver of the other vehicle, 50-year-old David Bauer, attempted to turn left onto 28th Street. Murphy then attempted to turn out of Bauer's path and struck Bauer's 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck in the front driver's side. Murphy then lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck and struck a lighted sign at Hoosier Pete's.
Bauer told police that he was traveling north on Mitchell Road in the left lane and was approaching 28th Street in the left lane. Bauer told police that he saw Murphy's truck traveling at a high-rate of speed then lost control of his pickup and struck Bauer's vehicle in the front driver's side and then struck the sign.
Bauer was not injured in the crash.
