(BLOOMFIELD) - Due to the quick response of the Bloomfield Fire Department , a porch fire was quickly extinguished late Tuesday evening.
According to Chief Lee Baker, a lamp on the porch of the house, located at 132 W. Duncan Street, was knocked over due to heavy winds.
After the lamp struck the porch, it caught fire.
Heavy smoke entered the home causing some damage.
Firefighters were on the scene for about half an hour.
