(BEDFORD) - Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Beech Street and John Williams Boulevard Friday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 19-year-old Gaven Gee of Mitchell was traveling north of Beech Street on John Williams Boulevard in his 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. He pulled into the path of a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by 46-year-old James Parenti of Bedford.
Police say Parenti was traveling east on John Williams Boulevard and approaching Beech Street when the accident happened.
Gee told police he looked both ways before pulling onto John Williams Boulevard but failed to see the oncoming vehicle.
When police arrived, the back seat passenger in Gee's vehicle, 20-year-old Jessica Stevens of Orleans, was having a seizure. According to others in the vehicle, Stevens had previous brain surgeries that could have contributed to the seizure. She was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
A front seat passenger, 18-year-old Alexandria Stevens of Paoli, complained of knee and lower leg pain.
Gee complained of head pain, saying he had hit his head on the driver's side window.
Both Stevens and Gee were taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
Parenti was not hurt in the accident.
