(BLOOMINGTON) - Two men were arrested after they found 22 grams of cocaine, $3,000 in cash and a convicted felon in possession of a handgun at an apartment on the city’s south side Wednesday night.
Police arrested 44-year-old Albert Jones of Bloomington on four felony charges of dealing in narcotic drugs after police say they used confidential informants to purchase heroin from him in January.
During a search of Jones' apartment, police also found a man in the apartment who was wanted in connection with a cocaine investigation earlier this month.
Police arrested 43-year-old Waymon Upshaw on charges of dealing in a narcotic drug and a convicted felon in possession of a firearm after police found him with a 9-mm handgun.
Jones was booked into the Monroe County Jail at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, and his bond was set at $60,000 surety, $500 cash.
Upshaw was booked into the jail at 11:17 p.m. Wednesday, and his bond was set at $10,000 surety, $500 cash.
