(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford teen were cited into court after police found them both intoxicated early Sunday morning.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to Hamilton Courts at 1:21 a.m. regarding a noise complaint.
When officers arrived they found several teens in an apartment causing a disturbance.
"In the meantime another resident of the apartment complex reported their son was not where he was supposed to be," Parsley says. "The teen had been in the apartment where the noise complaint was."
Officers were able to determine that one 16-year-old male was intoxicated. He was charged with public intoxication, illegal consumption and a minor in possession of alcohol.
Officers were also looking for another 15-year-old boy. That boy had left to purchase food.
"Officers found him walking on 16th Street," Parsley says. "When officers attempted to stop him he took off running. Officers were able to catch the teen at Superior Auto."
He too was arrested on charges of public intoxication, illegal consumption, a minor in possession of tobacco and alcohol and resting arrest by fleeing.
Both teens were released to the custody of their parents.
