(LINTON) - A routine traffic stop in Linton on Saturday resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle and one woman behind bars.
Linton Police Department Reserve Officer Jason Smith, stopped 49-year-old Tamara Baker of Sullivan around 8 p.m. after seeing her driving a vehicle with no headlights on.
While the officer was running the vehicle's information, he determined the car had been stolen from Monroe County.
Officers then placed Baker in handcuffs and searched the vehicle, finding meth.
Baker was arrested on a felony charge possession of meth.
Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell says, the case is still under investigation and additional charges may be filed in the incident.
