(MITCHELL) - A Bedford woman was injured after she lost control of her 2005 Jeep Wrangler and it flipped on its side.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 27-year-old Josi Wolfenbarger of Bedford was traveling south on Rivervale Road when her Jeep went off the west side of the road in a curve and struck a tree and then flipped on the driver's side.
Woflenbarger told police she was traveling around 40 miles per hour when she hit her brakes while entering a curve and the brakes locked up causing her to run off the road.
Wolfenbarger suffered a laceration to her chin and a bloody nose. Her 2-year-old passenger was strapped in a car seat and was not injured during the incident.
Both Wolfenbarger and the toddler were taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for a medical evaluation.
Assisting at the scene was a Seals ambulance and Marion Volunteer Fire Department.
