(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly attempted to break into another person’s home.
53-year-old John Humphress is accused of hitting a southside man and the man's dog with a hammer during the break-in attempt.
Humphress is facing charges of burglary, battery, criminal mischief and being a habitual traffic offender. He is being held in the Monroe County Jail on a $10,000 surety, $500 cash bond.
