(SALEM) - The Salem Police Department has taken several reports of counterfeit $50 bills in the last 24 hours.
Salem Police Major Scott Ratts is warning employees to check money received carefully. The bills were checked with a counterfeit detection pen and passed.
Police suspect two young white females driving a gray Chevrolet Cavalier with black rims are passing the fake bills.
Police found counterfeit bills at the Family Dollar and Circle K.
Anyone with information about the two women or the vehicle is asked to call the Salem Police Department
