(HURON) - A Huron man was arrested after police say he attempted to choke his mother.
According to Lawrence County Major Gregg Taylor, police received a call at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday from a woman reporting she awoke to find her son's hands around her neck.
The woman was able to escape and was treated and released at a local hospital for injuries to her hands, face and neck.
Officer later found 46-yer-old William Goldsberry Jr. hiding under a desk at the home at 470 Huron Williams Road.
Goldsberry Jr was arrested on the following charges: strangulation, a Level 6 felony, battery, a Class A misdemeanor and resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor.
