(PAOLI) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a lane closure for State Road 37 in Paoli for a road reconstruction project.
On Thursday, Milestone Contractors will close the southbound driving lane from Paoli Square (U.S. 150/SR56) to about a tenth of a mile south of Hospital Road.
This is the first of three phases in the road reconstruction. Crews will pave one lane at a time.
During the first phase, lanes will be restricted to 10-foot widths and southbound traffic will drive in the center lane. No dedicated turn lanes will be available.
The closure will be in place around the clock for the duration of the project.
Work on the first phase is expected to last until mid to late May, depending upon weather conditions.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
