(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after police say he had meth and heroin when police went to arrest him on a warrant Sunday.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, The Lawrence County Drug Task Force went to a home at the 200 block of Dean Street after they received a tip that 22-year-old Dillon Shaw was there. Shaw was wanted on warrants for petition to revoke probation and possession of meth.
Police arrived at the home at 9:48 p.m. but Shaw was not there.
"A woman at the home called Mr. Shaw and convinced him to return home," Chief Parsley says.
Officers arrested Shaw when he arrived. He then gave police permission to search his vehicle. Inside police found a baggy of meth and another baggy of heroin.
Shaw is now facing additional charge of possession of meth, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance in addition to the warrants.
