(BEDFORD) - WBIW is featuring stories submitted by area students. Today’s Student Spotlight is written by 13-year-old Loralye Childers, a seventh grader at Bedford Middle School.
I have Mr. Rogers for homeroom.
The day is busy for a seventh grader. Our classes change every day during the week so we don't have to go to the same classes at the same time every day.
The seventh grade IT class (computer programming) this nine weeks is doing a PowerPoint presentation on how we would see ourselves in the future.
Seventh graders in Success Strategies are looking to the future. They must come up with items that haven't been invented yet. They will then present their inventions on March 26 to Ms. Storms, Ms. Coats and Mrs. Duncan for review. The student with the best futuristic invention will win fruit snacks.
Learning from others, is what students in Mr. Avery's class do every Thursday. Special guests have been coming in to help prepare students for ISTEP.
Middle school has some perks; we get to listen to music for the last half of lunch.
But we don't stay idle for long - you can find Mrs. Brim's class in the hallway exercising on yoga balls.
One event that is now captured for future generations is photos of 7 South students on the gym floor spelling out BMS.
And every nine weeks students who have earned "Cutter Cash" get to spend it on some really cool stuff.
We are very proud of our Bedford Middle School 7th grade spelling champion - Madeline Case.
