(BEDFORD) - 6012 STEAMRollers is a FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition team from the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County and have emerged victorious they are one of 10 Indiana teams that have catapulted toward the World Championship in St. Louis, April 28-30.

More than 3,500 teams and 78,000 students and professional mentors across the world (including places like Canada, Mexico, China, Israel, and Australia), will be participating in District, Regional, and State-level events in hopes of qualifying for the 2016 FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, MO.
For the 2016 competition, FIRST Robotics partnered with Disney's Imagineers to launch FIRST Stronghold, a medieval-themed challenge with the goals of capturing the opponent's castle. To do so, alliances of three robots must successfully traverse complex defenses, shoot foam boulders into tower goals, and surround the castle at the conclusion of the match by hanging from 6 foot high metal bars.
FRC Team 6012 was founded in 2015 as an affiliate to 4H Limestone Robotics.
