(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Monday after he was stopped for expired plates and police found crystal meth.
Bloomington Police arrested 29-year-old Michael Starks on charges of dealing and possession of meth and six outstanding warrants.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, Starks sold meth to a confidential informant in March during a transaction on Bloomington's west side.
Then on Monday Starks was pulled over in the 4700 block of State Road 46 for having a false or fictitious license plate on his Pontiac Grand Prix. The plates were registered to a Ford van.
During the traffic stop a K-9 alerted police to possible drugs in the vehicle. Police found crystal meth under the center console and hypodermic needles in the console.
