(DAVIESS CO.) - Efforts continue to raise funds for the re-instituted K-9 program at the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Jerry Harbstreit says it has been five years since the department has had a canine on the force.
After some research the sheriff decided to try and raise donations to buy two dogs for the department.
"The goal is $25,000 dollars," Harbstriet says. "So far the department has raised around $23,000 to purchase the dogs named Storm and Focus."
If you would like donate funds to help the K-9 program contact the Daviess County Sheriff's Department.
