Early Voting Continues Until May 2

(BEDFORD) - The last day for early voting in the Primary Election is May 2 at Noon.

Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson says casting your ballot to avoid the rush is easy.

"Registered voters can go to their county clerk's office with a valid, government-issued photo ID to vote early," Secretary Lawson says. "Voters do not need a reason to vote early, simply show up and cast your ballot."

In Lawrence County early voting times and dates:

This week - 8:30 a.m. until Noon and 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 23 - 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 30 - 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Monday, May 2 - 8:30 a.m. until Noon

Almost 30 counties in Indiana have now adopted the vote center model. Many of these counties have alternative early voting locations. Hoosiers who live in a vote center county should check with their county clerk for additional early voting options. Before heading to the polls, Hoosier voters can go to www.indianavoters.com or use the Indiana Voters app on their smart phone to look up which candidates will be on their ballot. Voters enter their county of residence, name and date of birth. 'Who's On Your Ballot?' will list the offices, candidates' names and party just as it will be listed on Election Day. Voter registration is now closed for the May 3rd primary, but you can still get registered for the November 8th general election at www.indianavoters.com or by using the Indiana Voters app. Polls are open 6 a.m. till 6 p.m.pm local time on May 3rd for the primary election.
