(GREENE CO.) - A tornado spotter’s course will be conducted by the National Weather Service on Monday, April 25th at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Building at the Greene County Fairgrounds.
"In the last few years we have seen divesting tornados strike all over the United States and in Indiana as well," says Roger Axe, Director of Greene County Emergency Management Agency. "Now more than ever, it is important for people to know what is and what is not a tornado. Awareness and preparedness are the keys to safety. Volunteers monitoring the sky and reporting severe weather helps increase everyone's safety. That is why we schedule the spotter's course every year."
The training is free and open to the public.
