Human Remains Found On South Rogers Street

(BLOOMINGTON) - On Tuesday a resident on the south side of Bloomington found human remains.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. a citizen contacted Bloomington Police to report finding what they believed were human remains on private property in the 1600 block of South Rogers Street.

Investigators responded to the scene and did locate human remains.

At this time there is no indication of race, gender, or age. Also, no determination of cause or manner of death was obvious.

Monroe County Coroner Nicole Meyer has requested the assistance of forensic anthropologists.

There is no additional information at this time and further information will be provided through a press release as it becomes available.

The case remains under investigation.
