(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University defensive lineman Jacob Robinson was arrested Saturday on preliminary charges of illegal consumption and false informing.
Indiana State Excise Police encountered Robinson near Briscoe dormitory at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
Officers say the saw Robinson staggering on the sidewalk and, upon making contact, found he smelled of alcohol and had difficulty speaking. He reportedly first told the state excise officer he was 22 years old. He then claimed he was 21, then that he was born in 1995. The truth - he is 19-year-old.
Robinson participated in the Little 500 pre-trial diversion program that took place Sunday, requiring him to pay a $428 fine and perform road-crew work by picking up trash in town.
