(JASONVILLE) - A Jasonville man was arrested for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, a Level 6 felony.
According to a probable cause affidavit written by Jasonville police officer Jason Gambill, on March 25 he observed a vehicle traveling 67 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone on State Road 48 in the area of County Road 1100 West.
After initiated his red and blue lights, the vehicle started to accelerate.
The driver attempted to evade police by going onto County Road 1200 West. The car, a 2015 Kia with a Colorado temporary tags, stopped about a mile later.
The officer asked the driver, 33-year-old Jason Burris, why he didn't stop and he replied the reason was his license plate was expired and if he answered the officer's question it would be incriminating.
Burris was then arrested and taken to the Greene County Jail.
