(LINTON) - S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue, in partnership with Mutts R Us, is holding a fundraiser/adoption event in Linton’s Humphreys Park this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be a baked goods, hot dogs and drinks available for purchase, and animals will be present for adoption from both agencies.
Mutts R Us will bring "Mama," a chocolate lab; "Layla," a lab/St. Bernard mix; "Soldier," a blue pit; and "Frank," an American Bulldog mix. S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue will have animals on hand as well, including at least three, 9-week old pups, available to adopt.
Adoption fees for the animals range from $100 to $150, and include all shots. If the animal is at least six months old, it will be spayed or neutered as well. Those adopting animals costing $150 from Mutts R Us will receive $50 back when they take the animal to be spayed or neutered.
The Greene County Daily World reports the event will raise funds for both organizations, as well as provide adoption opportunities for those with a little love to spare for an animal in need.
Anyone wishing to donate baked goods for the fund-raising efforts is urged to bring them Saturday, or contact either organization to arrange a pickup.
Mutts R Us have a few tickets left from their gun raffle at $5 each at the event. The raffle is for a brand new Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle.
