(LINTON) - Linton Police began looking for a toddler who was reported missing around 6:40 p.m. Monday.
Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell says the 2-year-old was reported missing in the area of Southwest E Street.
It didn't take long to find the child. Jerrell says the child had a small motorized vehicle, like a 4-wheeler in the back yard, and drove it behind a vehicle on the property. The child then crawled into the trunk of the vehicle.
While looking for the toddler, a family member noticed the child's toy behind the car, and found the child in the trunk.
The child was checked out by healthcare professionals, but did not appeared to be physically hurt.
