(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell woman was injured Thursday morning after she lost control of her vehicle on Ind. 37.
According to a Bedford Police report, 61-year-old Terri Stearns was traveling north on Ind. 37 on the overpass when she lost control of her 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck and it struck the eastern concrete barrier with the front passenger side. The truck then crossed back across the northern travel lanes. The rear driver's side of the vehicle then made contact with the western concrete barrier. The truck then crossed the northern travel lanes, striking the eastern guard rail with the front of the truck.
A witness, who was traveling behind the pickup truck, told police it appeared the tire blew out on the truck causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Stearns complained of face and shoulder pain. She was treated at the scene by an IU Health Hospital crew.
