(PEKIN) - Late Monday evening, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg were dispatched to a domestic fight on East Borden Road in Pekin.
Once officers arrived, they heard yelling coming from inside the residence. Through the open front door, officers could see 57-year-old Scott Hurst allegedly hitting a female inside. Police entered the home and arrested Hurst.
During the course of the investigation, police found marijuana plants sitting in a kitchen window
Hurst is facing charges of battery, domestic battery, intimidation, pointing a firearm, strangulation, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, cultivating marijuana and interference with the reporting of a crime. He is being held in the Washington County Jail.
