(SPRINGVILLE) - A Springville driver was injured after he suffered a seizure while traveling on State Road 54 Saturday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 42-year-old Robert Thomas suffered facial injuries after he lost control of his 1996 Subaru Legacy on Ind. 54 at Cobb Lane.
Thomas told police that he suffered a seizure.
Police say the vehicle went straight through a curve, striking an abutment which caused the car to go airborne. The vehicle landed in the middle of State Road 54.
Thomas fled the scene on foot and was located a short time later at his home.
He was taken to Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
