(PEERLESS) - A Bedford teen was rescued after he crashed and his car ended up in a creek on Peerless Road Thursday.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Bransyn Henson of Bedford was traveling west on Peerless Road bottoms when he lost control of the 2003 Volkswagen Jetta he was driving on the wet roadway in a curve. The vehicle went off the north side of the road, down a steep embankment and into the flowing water of the creek.
Police say the vehicle was partially immersed in the creek trapping Henson inside.
Lawrence County deputies, Bedford Fire Department, Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department and an IU Health Hospital ambulance responded.
Emergency crews rescued Henson from the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
